What Are Some Pain Symptoms?

Pain is typically separated into two categories: chronic pain and acute pain. While they both might feel the same, acute pain typically lasts for less than three months at a time and has a cause that can be easily identified. Chronic pain, on the other hand, lasts longer than three months and might not always have a visible cause. While both can be debilitating, the other symptoms of chronic pain and acute pain can be quite different.

  • Acute pain involves grimacing, moaning, or other distressed reactions, while chronic pain results in reduced activity, fatigue, or depression.
  • Those with acute pain might have increased heartbeat, respiration, and blood pressure, while those with chronic pain might not appear to be in pain at all.
  • Acute pain can usually be predicted by a pain doctor, while chronic pain is unpredictable and has no clear end point without pain relief treatment.

What Are the Causes of Pain?

Typically, at our pain relief clinic, we deal mostly with low back pain, neck pain, and other types of spine pain. There are many different causes of back pain. These can include:

  • Accident and injury
  • Stress
  • Back surgery or other surgery
  • Changes in hormones
  • Inflammation
  • Childbirth
  • Ischemia

What Is Pain?

Pain is a universal feeling. It stems from an ancient instinct to warn us against danger and protect us from injury. Because it is subjective, it is up to you to describe your pain. Pain can be defined in a number of different ways:

  • A warning sign from your body that you have been injured
  • An emotional response to the sensation of being injured
  • A sensory response related to tissue damage

What Kinds of Pain Can You Offer Comprehensive Pain Management For?

Pain is an important tool that can help you know when something is wrong in your body. Unfortunately, it might not always feel so important when it prevents you from living your life. As your Dallas chiropractor and pain doctor, it is our job to find the cause of that pain and provide pain relief. More people suffer from pain than are affected by heart disease, diabetes, and cancer combined, and it is our goal to help lower this pain suffering statistic. Many people ignore potential health problems until pain sets in and begins to interfere with their daily lives. This ends up costing millions in lost wages and healthcare costs as it prevents people from working or caring for their families. We don’t want this to happen! This is why it is important to seek pain relief treatment from us as soon as you notice any

Why Do I Need Injury Rehabilitation?

One of the most common injuries we see is auto accident injuries. Car accidents affect thousands of people every year and can cause a number of different injuries, including whiplash, concussions, strains and sprains, damaged joints, osteoarthritis, and herniated discs. Even if you’ve just been in a low-impact collision, you might still need car accident treatment to prevent permanent damage to your body. In fact, injuries can occur when you’re going only five miles an hour. You might not immediately feel any pain or symptoms of injury, but that doesn’t mean damage hasn’t been done to your body. Often, symptoms take weeks or months to emerge, at which point people might not even connect the pain to the car accident they had. While your first thought might be about turning the accident in to car insurance or meeting your deductible, you should really make auto accident treatment a priority. Because these types of injuries are often complex, you need one of our auto accident chiropractors to make an accurate diagnosis and provide a treatment plan. Without immediate accident rehab, your injury could worsen or become a permanent fixture in your life.

How Do Rehabilitation Services at Your Institute Work?

Though every patient ends up getting a personalized treatment plan tailored to their specific needs, the first visit at Posture Perfect Wellness Center begins the same. You will receive a complete orthopedic and neurological examination to determine the extent of your spinal cord injury, brain trauma, back injury, or other physical problem. From here, we can determine what kind of treatment is right for you. These treatments usually include some form of physical therapy and chiropractic care to get you back on your feet.

Why Offer Weight Loss Programs in Dallas?

Quite simply, we were tired of seeing our patients come in and be unhappy about their weight. The American Obesity Association estimates that one third of Americans who are obese experience musculoskeletal and back pain. Not only that, but one pound of fat puts up to four pounds of pressure on your knees, wearing down the joint and causing debilitating pain. While we can treat some of these symptoms, we wanted to help people tackle the problem at the source. We knew that many of our patients had tried other weight loss programs, like cutting calories, all to no avail. Therefore, we decided to manage our pain patients with a weight loss program to help assist the community in achieving their weight loss goals through combining the science of pain management with the power of wellness to eliminate inflammation.

Why Should I Visit Your Dallas Pain Relief Clinic?

Pain sucks. However, it is a necessary evil that lets us know when our bodies are out of tune. This signal lets you know exactly when it is time to see a pain doctor.
