Postural Treatment

Your posture is a window to your overall health. Over time, poor posture may be caused by habits from everyday activities such as sitting in office chairs, bad-posture-typesstaring at the computer, cradling a cell phone, carrying a purse over same shoulder, driving, prolonged standing, caring for small children, or even sleeping. Correct posture is a simple but very important way to keep the many intricate structures in the back and spine healthy. It is much more than cosmetic – good posture and back support are critical to reducing the incidence and levels of back pain and neck pain. Chiropractic care along with back stretches and exercises is especially important for patients who spend many hours sitting in an office chair or standing throughout the day. Without good posture, our nervous system will not function optimally because structure dictates function. Three curves must be present in our spine in order to have good health. When one of these curves is lost or reversed, we will distribute our weight incorrectly and cause pain syndromes. Do you have postural problems?
