Disc Problems

Between each of your vertebrae is a small pad of cartilage known as a disc. These soft and fibrous tissues support, connect, space out, and absorb shock for your spine. Your spinal discs require adequate joint fluids to bring them nutrition and get rid of waste since they do not have a very good blood supply. If these joint fluids are cut off for any reason, your discs will begin to dry out and possibly crack. Some common injuries that can occur when discs lose their fluid supply include herniated discs, bulging discs, or ruptured discs. All of these problems cause you pain and can interfere with the function of the spine. Under the guidance of a chiropractic care center, many patients in the Carrollton area see improvements in their disc problems.
